While Jaap Stam will be pleased to make it two wins from two games in pre-season with his senior squad, Reading's younger players haven't had such an easy time back on UK shores. Their latest outing came at National League side Lincoln where the Red Imps picked up a 4-1 win over the Royals.

As you can see from the team sheets, while very much a young Reading team, there were certainly some players out there who'd be hoping to earn senior game time this season. Tariqe Fosu is perhaps the most interesting name on the team sheet after his unique link with Raith last week. The winger played 45 minutes starting alongside Jack Stacey, Josh Barrett Niall Keown and Andreiji Novakovich, all players who've appeared in a senior game for the club. Sadly that experience was no match for the non-league side who got themselves into a 2-0 lead at the break in front of nearly 1,500 fans.
Reading changed their entire lineup at the break but it made little difference as Lincoln went 4-0 up before a late Sam Smith consolation goal gave the 69 Reading fans something to cheer. You can read a few more details on the game on Lincoln's official site here.
The other notes from the lineups are another absence for Aaron Kuhl who's been absent from both senior and junior friendlies in the pre-season so far, while Reading also fielded a trialist in the second-half
Next up for Kuhl's side is a trip to Enfield on Tuesday night. If you happen to be going along, why not send us your thoughts to thetilehurstend@gmail.com
