Joseph Mills - Burnley (Championship) Appearances:7
Mills was again left out of Eddie Howe's team as they played Derby and Crystal Palace. However with Burnley conceding seven goals in those two games, a recall might not be far away.
Mikkel Andersen - Portsmouth (League 1) Appearances: 12
Things appear to be finally turning themselves around for Pompy, who picked up another four points this week to climb up to 17th.
Against Yeovil, Andersen made some good saves against fellow Royals loanee Gozie Ugwu, while he couldn't do much about Reid's penalty.
Andersen also made some key saves against the MK Dons but Pompy let a late lead slip to leave Milton Keynes with just a point.
Jordan Obita - Portsmouth (League 1) Appearances: 2 (+6) Goals: 1 Red Cards: 1
Another frustrating week for Obita who spent a combined ten minutes on the pitch during two brief substitute appearances. That red card earlier in the season really has hurt Obita and I can't imagine Brian McDermott will want to extend the loan spell any further if he continues to sit on the bench.
Michael Hector - Shrewsbury (League 1) Appearances: 7
Big Hec's up and down season continued as he was once again demoted to the bench for games against Doncaster and Brentford. Manager Graham Turner confired 'Big Hec' was dropped for tactical reasons with new loan signing Lee Collins preferred.
Gozie Ugwu - Yeovil (League 1) Appearances: 4 (+8) Goals: 3
Ugwu's loan spell has hit a snag as a hamstring injury looks set to keep him out of the Yeovil lineup for 3-4 weeks. Uguw had played 45 minutes as they lost to Portsmouth last Tuesday night but has returned to Reading for treatment.
Karl Sheppard - Accrington (League 2) Appearances: 6(+5) Goals: 1
Sigh. I really want Karl Sheppard to do well, I really do. I spent a good number of hours researching the Irishman after his signing from Shamrock in January and felt he could actually turn into the next Kevin Doyle. Sadly if this loan spell so far is anything to go by, he's more likely to be the next Dave Mooney. Sheppard couldn't get off the bench as Stanley lost 3-2 at home to Rochdale.
Brett Williams - Woking (Conference Premier) Appearances: 4(+5) Goals: 1
If Brett Williams ever plays a game for Reading in the Premier League I'll get his name and number printed on the back of next season's shirt. However given the fact he once again couldn't get off the bench for Woking at Telford, I don't think the club shop should fire up the presser yet.
