Leeds United (A) Postmatch Thoughts
Before Friday's game Ryan Parish from The Scratching Shed was kind enough to give us his thoughts about the game and Ryan was kind enough to also give us a few brief post match thoughts after the jump.
Hello again guys,
It wasn't the result we were looking for, but considering Reading's recent good form, I was quite pleased with a point. Before the game, I had singled out Jimmy Kebe and Shane Long as Reading's danger men, so I was pleasantly suprised when I found out Kebe wouldn't be playing. I think this played it's part in the result as Reading didn't really look to have that killer edge going forward which Kebe may have provided.
I thought both teams looked solid with Leeds' defence in particular looking a lot better than in recent weeks, partly down to the return of captain Richard Naylor and the improved form of Andy O'Brien. We probably edged it on the night as we a had the best of the chances. Johnson hit the bar after a good run and your keeper McCarthy pulled off good saves from Snodgass and Gradel. I was very impressed with your keeper who kept Reading in the game at times and he was man of the match for me.
Overall, I think a draw was a fair result even if the scoreline didn't reflect the quality of the game. Both sets of fans were in good voice throughout and hopefully we will meet again in the play-offs.
Thanks again to Ryan and you can catch him on twitter @ryanlufc and stay tuned to The Tilehurst End throughout tomorrow and Monday for Sheffield United previews.
