Reading FC Transfer Rumours - June 21, 2011

Here's a few more transfer rumours from the past few days in what has been a relatively low-key week in terms of transfer activity.

If you've got a story we've missed or want to offer your thoughts please drop them in the comments section or tweet us @thetilehurstend

Outbound?

Sky Sports have reported  Wolves have made a bid for skipper Matt Mills, though have failed to match Reading's valuation on the former Donny Man. Local reports up in the Midlands have also reported the story though have quotes from Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxley saying that the club are focussed on strengthening other areas.

There's also speculation over the future of our assistant manager Nigel Gibbs who's been linked with a return to former club Watford, with former Hornets striker Tommy Mooney touting him for a move on BBC Sport. Gibbs is rated at 12/1 with Victor Chandler to take the job.

The Reading Chronicle have linked striker Noel Hunt with a move to Championship rivals Ipswich.  The paper also list Portsmouth as an interested party but Hunt has distanced himself of such rumours on Twitter.

Inbound?

Reading are reportedly interested in Brighton And Hove Albion defender Gordon Greer according to FootyBunker. Greer 30 years old and captained Brighton last season despite only joining the club in the summer.

There's also some quotes on a Barnsley fan site that they've lost out in their bid to sign Bournemouth defender Jason Pearce as the defender has verbally agreed to another club, with that club being speculated as Reading.
