View From The Town End - West Ham

Nine months ago a win over West Ham helped us take one step towards the Premier League and if we're to take a step towards survival then another win over the hammers is vital this weekend. Ahead of tomorrow's game we spoke to Scott Tracey from The Game's Gone Crazy.

Ben Hoskins

How have you viewed West Ham's season so far?

A bonus! The 3-1 victory over Chelsea was outstanding but the squad has been decimated by injuries and we are going to have to battle for everything from now to the end of the season.

Last season Big Sam was getting a fair amount of stick, are the majority behind Allardyce or would you still prefer a chance?

I was one of his biggest critics but, to be fair to Doctor Evil, he has managed an ordinary bunch of players excellently so far. Yes we do play long ball football, but we knock it around a bit too.

How did you view Reading last season and what do you think's gone wrong this time around?

Reading enjoyed a fantastic run following the 3-0 hammering of West Ham, and adrenaline and momentum carried you guys through. But you have a modest bunch of players if we are honest and have been found out in the Prem. What went wrong? You didn't spend £20m in the summer.

Any particularly good West Ham v Reading memories?

LOL No! I was at the game last season to see O'Brien and Collison sent off, and I got a parking ticket too! I hate Reading! Sorry, nothing personal but you are a bogey team!

Any bad ones?

LOL Yes! 6-0, 3-0, the hammering at Upton Park last season, 1-1 when you were 1-0 down and playing with ten men! Need I go on? Bloody Reading!

Who should Reading fans be wary of on Saturday?

Nolan - although he didn't show up last season for the equivalent fixture - we were playing a man down even before the sending offs!

Anyone West Ham fans are worried about?

Tomkins if he plays at right back. Your wide guys given our full backs are useless.

Score Prediction?

1-1

Where do you think both clubs will end up?

Reading 20th, West Ham 15th. Sorry.
