It's never fun at the bottom is it?

Four games into the Premier League season and we're bottom of a league for the first time since the 1997/98 season that saw us relegated from the second tier. Thankfully there's 34 league games left to turn things around and considering we were 23rd in the Championship at this stage last year, we've proved our ability to turn things around after a slow start.

Wednesday offers a bit of a respite from league action as we travel to Loftus Road to take on Mark Hughes QPR side who are one of the teams sat in the bottom three with us after a 2-1 defeat at Spurs.

QPR are proof that no matter how much you spend and how much quality or experience you have in a side, it can still take time to gel and we can only hope they're still divided as we seek to make the fourth round for the first time since that 1997/98 relegation season... actually when it's put like that maybe we don't want to repeat the omen?

We'll be building up to the game over the next couple of days right here on The Tilehurst End.
