Evening, here's a quick roundup of some of the main stories floating around about Reading this week in the press, including how Reading fans are supposedly the 'mouthiest' in the country!

Golfers unhappy with Reading training ground plans - BBC Sport

While the news that Reading have secured the Bearwood golf club to develop a multi-million pound training ground has been met with universal joy from Royals fans around the county, there is a small pocket of discontent from members of the golf club who saw their own bid blown out of the water by the football club.

Steve Head get's England call - Reading FC official site

While Alex McCarthy has seen his international prospects somewhat limited, the same can't be said for chief scout Steve Head who linked up with his former Fulham boss Roy Hodgson to do some scouting for England ahead of their recent qualifiers. This was a move sanctioned by Reading FC and it shows how high a regard the scout is held in by such a senior figure in English football. Fingers crossed he can turn up a few gems for us now!

Reading fans are the mouthiest of the lot - London News Shopper

A little opinion piece from a Millwall blogger who claims that Reading FC fans are the mouthiest he's come across, though he doesn't really give many examples. The pieces descends into chat about stadium composition and general away atmospheres.

Nigel Adkins reflects on what seemed like a really great open day at the Madejski Stadium on Monday. It's great to see the club going out of their way to help engage the fans and I hope it's something we see more of in the future!
