Good afternoon! Here's a selection of some of the main news stories floating around about the Royals over the past week.

Frustrated Akpan eyes loan move - Get Reading

It's been a big of a rags to riches back to rags story for poor Hope Akpan, with the midfielder having three assists in his first couple of Premier League games before falling right out of favour under Nigel Adkins. Now the former Crawley man admits he may look to get a loan move to continue his development.

Sir John hopes training ground will open in two years - Reading Chronicle

Royals Chairman Sir John Madejski says he hopes that Reading's new training ground at Bearwood will be open in 2016. Despite protests from local golfers Sir John expects no serious delays on a project that is crucial for Reading's continuing desire to be a category 1 academy.

Morrison: I share fans' anger - Get Reading

The Reading captain admits he's as gutted as anyone over the capitulation up at Hillsborough. He admits nobody saw the result coming but that they'd do their best to bounce back ASAP.

Blackman's tribute - Reading OS

A nice touch from Nick Blackman who had a message on his shirt in support of Tranmere's Joe Thompson who's been diagnosed with cancer.

The Aberdeen fansite carries the words of boss Derek McInnes who admits he had no idea that Reading loanee Michael Hector could hit such sweet strikes after he scored a stunner in the 4-0 win over Partick.
