Sharp praises Pog - Reading Official Site

Billy Sharp says a lot of the praise for his good performances of late have to go to his strike partner Pogrebnyak for the chances he makes for him. Sharp adds that he's enjoying being in the starting 11 and wants to be part of a successful squad.

Baird set to return ahead of time - Reading Post

Midfielder Chris Baird was expected to be out until the New Year but has handed the team a welcome boost by returning early from his ankle injury - he could be fit for the Wigan game on Saturday.

Adkins: We were top drawer

Boss Nigel Adkins says our goal, clean sheet and the fact we could have scored more made the Huddersfield performance "top drawer". We did play well, but as this report highlights, Alex McCarthy made a few stunning saves to keep us 1-0 up and they also hit the post. Nevertheless, Adkins says we reduced them to long-range stops which a goalkeeper of McCarthy's calibre will stop, and our defensive resolve, togetherness along  with "three points on the road" made this such a great all round effort from the team.

Adkins keen to get Sharp and Baird for the long term - Reading Chronicle

Billy Sharp's loan deal runs out in January and Chris Baird's short-term contract expires in the middle of January. The gaffer has stated his desire to secure the services of these two for the second half of the season.

Obita says "craziness" is what got him to where he is today - Reading Post

Rising star Jordan Obita says the "craziness" of moving between the u'21 side, and 4 lower league clubs on loan - Barnet, Gillingham, Portsmouth and Oldham, has got him into the first team. He says young players don't want to go away on loan, they want to be in and around the first team straight away. But Obita says it doesn't always happen and loan moves are your chance to impress, which he has done. He also talks about how many of the players in the squad are Premier League standard and wants to be a key part of the next squad to get us there.
