How have you rated Wigan's season so far?
Mixed to say least, we gave yet to really perform at our best so far. There have been no amazing wins or spectacular efforts yet, but the feeling at the club is that we are gaining on such performances. So far the cup have proved our better format, and there could be a wembley trip at the end. Or so we are all praying.
You're known for being the Premier League's escape artists, does this feel like another season where you'll pull it off?
Personally no. I dont think we have a good enough team to do it this season. Yet I have said that before and been proved wrong, yet there is something missing from this side compared to last season. The squads and managments belief is that we will survive and so it has to be, I wish I could have same faith.
The two sides shared five goals at the DW earlier this season, what did you make of that game and Reading?
It was a great game between two sides who on the face of it looked to be at the wrong end of the table. A great advocate for Premier League football at any position in the table, from what I saw of Reading, I was impressed but felt you were there for the taking at the time. Coming into this game I am not so sure.
Who from Reading's side are you worried about on Saturday?
Well in the last 20 minutes of the game, Adam Le Fondre being on the pitch would scare me. How does that man manage to score so many gosls late on? He could be the reason you stay up come the end of the season. Apart from him, Jobi McAnuff is a player who can cause anyone problems, and he certainly could cause Latics some.
Anyone Royals fans should look out for?
Shaun Maloney, the midfielder is back in form, has scored in past two Premier League games, andwasby far our best player against Chelsea. If anyone is going to save us this season it is going to be the little Scotsman has he runs between the linesof the opposition to set playersup, or score himself.
Score prediction?
Keep my glass half full I am going with a 3-1 win for Wigan. We really have to win this one, lose and I think we will be on our way down.
Where do you think both sides will end the season?
Hopefully both will be staying up, we both play too much honest good football to go down. But as I said my belief in Latics great esc9ape is now starting to wane
