Martin O'Neill's Republic of Ireland squad will eventually be trimmed, with the squad meeting on November 10th, ahead of a Euro 2016 Qualifier away to Scotland and a friendly against USA.
The Royals that have made the grade are Stephen Kelly, who is back in action after missing the last break through injury, Alex Pearce, and the returning Simon Cox.
Cox will be looking to make the final 23-man squad, and maybe even add to his 30 caps and four goals.
However, in his way are the likes of Robbie Keane, Kevin Doyle, Shane Long, Jon Walters and the Ipswich duo of Connor Sammon and Daryl Murphy.
Elsewhere, Ryan Edwards has been called up to the Australian under-23 squad for a tournament with Brazil, South Korea, and China.
The US under-20s side will contain two Reading youngsters, in the form of striker Andrija Novakovich and goalkeeper Aleks Gogic.
The Stars & Stripes have games against Russia, Republic of Ireland, and Canada in the warmer climes of Spain.
