Reading Player Of The Month - October 2014 Results

Three months down, three different winners of The Tilehurst End's Reading Player Of The Month award...

Michael Steele

And it's Adam Federici who takes home the gong having picked up 37% of your votes. The Aussie stopper had by far the best performance by any Reading player in October as he stopped Bournemouth knocking more than three past us in defeat at the iPro.

It was the tightest vote so far this season as Adam won by just 7% from Jamie Mackie - the winger grabbed two Man Of The Match awards in October but couldn't follow up with the monthly award, winning 30% of your votes. Hope Akpan did enough in October to earn 24% of your picks, whilst Glenn Murray got the remaining 9% - more than his tally of 7% last month, but only enough for fourth after picking up bronze in September's vote.

Congratulations to Adam, who is now playing for Australia again thanks to his good form in a Royals shirt after missing out on the Socceroos' World Cup squad. Let's see if he can continue his good form into November. And thanks, of course, to all of you for voting on both the Player of the Month and the Man of the Match awards for each game.
