Reading Player Of The Month - September 2014 Results

New, comments

The second month of the season is in the books, now to reveal who won your vote for Reading's Player of the Month in September.

Mike Hewitt

And it's a relative landslide this month as Oliver Norwood takes home the gong for September, notching 71% of the vote. Norwood was voted as your Man Of The Match at home to Fulham, with further second places in matches at the Mad Stad against Wolves and Millwall - his consistency has seen him become an integral part of the Reading midfield.

Good to see that Nigel Adkins signings rounded out the top three as Simon Cox grabbed second with 21% of your vote, and Glenn Murray took home the bronze after receiving 7% of your picks. And Alex Pearce, sole survivor from the August POTM poll, received just one vote. Maybe the players do look at this website after all...?

Anyway, congratulations to Oliver, and let's hope he can continue this good form throughout the season - Danny Guthrie won our POTM polls for August and September last season before Pavel Pogrebnyak took home October, November and December's gongs, yet neither were in the top three for Player Of The Season come May!

And thanks to you, as always, for voting. You can see the full breakdown below.
