Winning a game is the cake, scoring three and keeping a clean sheet is the icing, but news that Garath McCleary is now back in contention will come as the cherry on top of the Rotherham cake.
After the game last night, Royals manager Nigel Adkins confirmed that McCleary has been given the all clear, having not played since the final game of last season.
Speaking to the OS, he said:
Garath’s got the all clear and it's great news.
He's another one like Danny Williams who hadn’t played since last season, so he can step it up now with the confidence that he should be free of injury.
"All being well, he should be able to get himself involved from here on in.
"He needs more game time but we can start to consider him."
Things are beginning to look up for Nigel and his men.
