In news that we probably should have all expected, Reading centre back Anton Ferdinand has picked up yet another injury, which will rule him out of this Saturday's game at home to Bolton Wanderers. Reading Post reporter Charles Watts has said on Twitter that the summer signing has suffered a calf problem.
Anton Ferdinand injured again. Calf problem. Not available for Saturday. #readingfc

As reliably as the tide goes in and out, so too does Anton Ferdinand pick up injuries. Since arriving on a free transfer earlier this year, the ex-West Ham defender has been repeatedly sidelined, only turning out for 45 minutes against Rotherham United and a cameo off the bench at Norwich City.
Ferdinand's loss is Jake Cooper's gain, meaning that the academy graduate will likely continue his partnership at the back with Michael Hector, the duo giving a solid showing during last Saturday's trip to Norwich City. Cooper particularly excelled in that game, getting a 9/10 rating from match reporter Handbags Harris, and at the time of writing a whopping 94% of you voted him as man of the match.
