TOTW: Tweets Of 2014

Tweets of the Week extraordinaire Hoops dove into the archives of 2014 and came back up gasping for air and with a compilation of the best Reading FC related tweets from the past 365 days.

We start back in the New Year (duh), where the Royals were in the midst of takeover uncertainty.

Whilst recently-sacked Nigel Adkins was linked with the West Brom job just 12 months ago.

Moving on and we were treated to some (cough) excellent (cough) banter between Reading and Bolton.

Then this happened.

And we enjoyed this.

On to the next one and we just can't get over this superb tweet.

Into February, and we remember now Arsenal coach Brian McDermott being a bit mucked about by his superiors in Leeds.

And Madejski is confirmed as being back in charge at a ragged Reading.

Next up, young 'keeper Henly was losing his head at Flappy Bird.

And The Tilehurst End announce new members of the team.

Shuffling on, who remembers the Doyle celebration controversy?

And that McCleary goal.

We'd much rather forget this game though.

Centre back Hector likes a bubble bath. Our question... Who took the pic?

Huzzah, big mouth Roberts retired earlier this year.

Oh yeah, who recalls the #Hoolihoops?

Even in March the takeover was no nearer completion.

Heartbreak for the youngsters in the FA Youth Cup.

Ian Harte kept on-loan winger Drenthe under control, and had the balls to crack this joke.

On the flip side of the FA Youth Cup, the other youth side won the U21 Premier League Cup.

Probably the most retweeted and favourited thing about Reading FC EVER.

We're yet to see this from Taylor.

Final game of last season. Who won Player of the Season?

Could we make the play-offs?

NO DON'T DO IT—oh...

Royston's barmy.

Releases. Could we do with some of these now?

Into the new season...

Drenthe is booted out of the first team.

COX CAME BACK.

FERDINAND.

Oh lord. Club anthem. Oh dear.

Morrison departed.

Taylor is the focus of some supreme banter.

Norwood signs on.

Alex departs.

There was no way this deadline day gold was going to miss out.

Mackie (temporarily) joins.

Drenthe (temporarily) departs.

Glenn Murray (temporarily) joins.

GetReading reporter and The Tilehurst End Podcast Extra-er Charles Watts became a daddy.

Takeover is nearing completion at this stage...

Takeover is completed and ratified a week later.

Our Capital One Cup adventure this season was short-lived.

More club banter took place.

Things got a bit weird on FIFA, and this tweet went a little viral.

Gunter went into the crowd.

McCleary extends.

CECH REKT U.

Taylor international debut.

Akpan international debut.

Whatever you take from Adkins' reign, we'll always have this moment.

November now, so the Madejski stood together in remembrance.

Fran signed on.

HALBINO RONSON-KANU. This one went viral.

Alfie got a strop on when he was boo'd.

Positive Adkins joined Twitter just weeks before being sacked.

Cooper got a lot of love for his Norwich brace.

Bolton and Reading resumed their banter. We couldn't be bothered anymore.

Andy Murray loves the Royals.

In our penultimate instalment of Tweets of the Week, Adkins was sacked and Clarke was hired.

Happy New Year to you all. Let's hope 2015 brings some success with it...
