Birmingham City v Reading FC: You Choose The Squad

For the first time in a long while Reading go into a game with an unbeaten run going. OK so it's only two games but a start is a start! While Saturday's goalless draw with Bolton was far from inspiring it was a clean sheet but the question remains do we stick or twist heading to Birmingham?

It's rare indeed to see Reading name an unchanged side, while three in a row is almost unheard of under Nigel Adkins. When you're failing to string any results together that's understandable but this is a team with four points in two games, and no goals conceded in more than two hours of football.

However, that same side has only found the net twice with both of those goals coming from Jake Cooper headers at Norwich.

Availability wise and Pavel Pogrebnyak and Jamie Mackie both remain highly doubtful while boss Nigel Adkins told BBC Radio Berkshire that Anton Ferdinand wouldn't be fit for the trip to the Midlands.

Hope Akpan and Jem Karacan are also out while there's been no positive news on the Danny Guthrie front for some time.

Adkins also said that Hal Robson-Kanu was feeling his calf after the game but it's not expected he'll miss out.
