Millwall 0-3 Reading: Instant Reaction

Reading made it four wins from their last five games with a comprehensive 3-0 win away at Millwall. Pavel Pogrebnyak, Alex Pearce and Danny Williams were all on the scoresheet as the Royals made it 15 goals from the last four games, here's our initial report from the New Den.

Jonny will be along with a full report later on as well as player ratings but the key news was that Reading fought their way to a hard won three points at a venue that's always tricky to go to.

In windy conditions Pavel Pogrebnyak capitalised on Stephen Bywater's error to make it 1-0 before the break with Alex Pearce and Danny Williams completing the scoring in the second period.

Millwall huffed and puffed and put in a typically physical performance but credit to Nigel Adkins men who stood up to the challenge and picked up another important three points.

The only downside for the Royals was a first half injury to Hope Akpan but Jake Taylor put in a solid shift for an hour as his replacement and with no reinforcements added in the transfer window, it's nice to see another academy graduate put his hand up and show he's capable of doing a job.

As mentioned, Jonny will be here with a full report later on but for now we can sit back and enjoy another well earned win.
