6th placed Reading secured a vital 3 points against 3rd placed QPR at Loftus Road this afternoon, despite being reduced to ten men after Gorkss made a needless challenge.

Reading took the lead with a lovely team goal, with Williams heading in Alfie's floated cross in the 10th minute.

QPR equalised with a scrappy goal and a comedy of errors by the Reading defence meant former Reading striker Kevin Doyle bundled the ball home.

QPR piled on the pressure for the remainder of the first half, but Reading stood firm.

Two quickfire goals in the second half secured the result for Reading, with Pearce knocking in a free header from Obita's corner in the 56th minute before McCleary scored an absolute blinder in the 58th minute.

Gorkss' red card for a lunge in the 71st minute meant Reading had to hold on, and hold on they did to secure a brilliant 3 points in Rangers' back yard.
