Gorkss' red card overturned

Reading Football Club's appeal to have Gorkss' red card overturned was successful.

Kaspars Gorkss was handed a straight red card for a challenge on Junior Hoilett with about 20 minutes to go during the Royals' 3-1 win over their hooped rivals at Loftus Road; now the FA have decided to overturn a Reading red card for the second consecutive week after they did the same for Pearce's dismissal against Sheffield Wednesday.

An FA Statement read:

"Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today, Reading’s claim of wrongful dismissal regarding Kaspars Gorkss was upheld. Gorkss was dismissed for serious foul play during the game against Queens Park Rangers on 16th February 2014. His standard suspension has, therefore, been withdrawn with immediate effect."

Gorkss was set to miss four matches, including home games against Blackburn and Yeovil Town and visits to Brighton and Leeds next month, but the Latvian is now available for selection.

So, what do you think? Have the FA got it right?
