In alphabetical order...
Chris Gunter
Average rating: 6.5 (4 appearances). No MOTM awards.
I wrote in my Millwall report that our Welsh right-back had become Mr Consistent this season, and Gunter was again solid during the month of February, with only a 4/10 against Sheffield Wednesday ruining his average rating. Chris didn't get in the top 3 for any of our MOTM polls though, which might harm his cause.
Garath McCleary
Average rating: 7 (4 appearances). MOTM awards: 2nd (QPR).
The Jamaican winger has really hit form in the last couple of months, and his absolute screamer against QPR will live long in the memory - and certainly put the icing on the cake. He was nominated for POTM last month as well, coming third; can he go one or two better this time around?
Jordan Obita
Average rating: 7 (4 appearances). MOTM awards: 1st (Blackburn), 2nd (Sheffield Wednesday).
Another player who was nominated last month (and came 4th), Obita has continued his progress at left-back as he notched a solid 7/10 across four matches. Grabbed the MOTM nod in defeat against Blackburn, and came 2nd in the loss against Sheffield Wednesday. Sure to put up another good account.
Danny Williams
Average rating: 7.25 (4 appearances). MOTM awards: 2nd (Blackburn), 1st (QPR), 1st (Sheffield Wednesday), 1st (Millwall).
Whilst I like to try and be objective during these descriptions, it's hard to avoid the stats. 3 MOTM awards in 4 games (with the other just a second place!), and the highest average rating of any Reading player across the month. Will Danny go one better than last month and win the award for February?
