It's been reported at Get Reading that captain Jobi McAnuff has suffered a head injury that kept him out of last weekend's game. It has also ruled him out of the Jamaica squad to play this week, who visit St. Lucia on Wednesday, with doctors advising the 32 year not to make the cross-continental trip.

He joins fellow players Sean Morrison, Wayne Bridge, Chris Baird, Jem Karacan, Mikele Leigertwood and Jason Roberts on the treatment table.

So far this season, McAnuff has made 16(+6) appearances for the Royals, winning a single assist for his delivery to Alex Pearce in the 3-1 win over Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road. However, he is yet to open his account for the season, having not scored in almost two years.

We profiled the Jamaican last week in an article which you can find here.
