Royston Drenthe

MOTM awards: 1st (Brighton, Leeds, Yeovil), 2nd (Barnsley, Derby)

Drenthe's form tailed off towards the end of the month, but he notched three MOTM wins at the start of March with his performances against Brighton, Leeds and Yeovil, as well as finally grabbing his first Royals goals. Two second places came against Barnsley and Derby, he finally showed some of the form which followed his reputation.

Chris Gunter

MOTM awards: 1st (Derby), 2nd (Birmingham), 3rd (Leeds)

A solid month for the Welshman, who captained the Royals against Yeovil, and grabbed three top-3 finishes in our MOTM polls. Just about the one mainstay of the team all season (though injuries might have changed that), Gunter has been consistent just about all season.

Alex McCarthy

MOTM awards: 1st (Huddersfield), 3rd (Derby)

A couple of mistakes aside, the performances of McCarthy have certainly gained the Royals points over the course of March, and indeed the whole season. Whilst dreams of Brazil might be left in the departure lounge, he's shown his shot-stopping ability in a MOTM performance against Huddersfield.

Jordan Obita

MOTM awards: 1st (Barnsley), 2nd (Huddersfield), 3rd (Birmingham, Brighton, Yeovil)

No doubting that Obita has been the find of the season, playing at left-back for all of March and not once looking out of place. Another month of good performances from the young Academy product, including the MOTM vote for the Barnsley match, his dependency and good form have been a highlight of the season.
