Burnley promoted to the Premier League

Burnley join Leicester in the top flight.

Chris Brunskill

Burnley have confirmed their promotion to the Premier League, following a 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic. They join Leicester in getting promoted to the Premier League.

Burnley are back in the Premier League, following their relegation in their only season in that division (the 2009-10 season).

Burnley still have to play Ipswich Town and Reading to complete their fixtures this season, knowing that they could still win the title. However, Leicester will win the league if they win any of their final matches.

On behalf of the Tilehurst End, I congratulate Burnley in their promotion to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Derby County and Queens Park Rangers are also confirmed in the Championship play-offs following recent results. While, Wigan Athletic only need three points to confirm a their place in the play-offs.

Also, Wolverhampton Wanderers have won League One today; Brentford were also promoted to the Championship on Saturday.
