The Academy graduate was nominated alongside Royston Drenthe, Alex McCarthy and Chris Gunter and ended up winning with 57% of the vote.
Drenthe came second with 22%, with Gunter third on 17% and goalkeeper McCarthy earning 4% of the votes cast.
Obita came in the top three of our player of the match votes five times in seven games during March and was consistently one of our top performers during an up and down month for Nigel Adkins' side.
While Royston Drenthe may have been excellent in a couple of games (Brighton & Leeds in particular) Obita showed a consistency that's been missing from plenty of players this term and even during bad performances from the team, Obita put in a credible shift.
We'll have one final vote for April & May's combined POTM after the Burnley game but congratulations to Jordan who becomes the fifth player to win our award this season.
