For days, weeks, months, and what feels like years Reading have been looking for a new owner following the dissolution of the Anton Zingarevich era...
Tonight, we seem to have a serious step towards a solution.
For those asking, yes, I believe a deal has been done. Signed today. #ReadingFC has a new owner, a Thai billionaire.

According to Charles Watts, GetReading reporter and our Tilehurst End Extra Podcast regular, a Thai billionaire is set to take control of the club.
This has followed the lending company VIBRAC getting involved in the takeover, and the anonymous US consortium 'Phoenix' becoming favourite to take over. In the last couple of days however, a Thai consortium has emerged and were spotted touring the stadium yesterday (11th June).
Well, that tour seems to have gone very well and we are now on the verge of confirmation from the club itself in confirming the deal, and identity/details of such.
Here's the latest from Charles:
I'm told the new owner has promised big things. Summer investment, plus crack on with the Bearwood move asap #readingfc

Not sure when it will be confirmed, obviously all the legals to do, etc. Sure club will announce something soon #readingfc

Now Jonny Fordham has also tweeted a deal confirmation, and linked deal broker Pairoj Piempongsant, the man who brokered the sale of Man City to their current Dubai billionaire owners and, while a key man, is a little known mover and shaker in the world of business.
Believe deal to sell #readingfc was brokered by Pairoj Piempongsant - he helped shift #mcfc to Sheikh Mansour in 2009
