Sean Long and Shane Griffin- Long who is currently on loan at Luton and Griffin who features for the Under 21's side both played the full 90 minutes in a surprise 3-1 defeat to Lithuania Under 21's which sees them lose their place at the top of the qualifying group on a frustrating afternoon for the Irish.

Hector played the full 90 minutes while McCleary was substituted after 70 minutes of the game. They now look forward to a trip to Haiti on Tuesday evening where they will look for a vital three points.
