Tim Sherwood Among Early Bookies' Favourites For Reading Job

Steve Clarke hasn't even officially left Reading yet but one bookmaker has already made odds available on his successor with two former Premier League bosses among the favourites.

Bookmaker Bet Victor are the first to make odds available on the next permanent Reading manager to succeed the seemingly outbound Steve Clarke. They've installed current Reading number two Kevin Keen as 4/1 favourite alongside former Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood and former Leicester manager Nigel Pearson. David Moyes is 6/1 with Burton's Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink out at 8/1.

More interesting choices among the outsiders include Paolo Di Canio and Dennis Wise at 25/1, Jurgen Klinsmann at 33/1 while former Reading manager Brian McDermott is also a 33/1 shot to make a return to the Madejski Stadium.

I can't personally say Keen, Sherwood or Pearson particularly excite me at this moment in time but at least Pearson has experience at getting a team out of this division, while Keen and Sherwood are both largely unproven.

You can find a full list of Bet Victor's odds here.

So who do you fancy from that list folks, anyone excite you or fill you with dread? Of course Clarke could always stay but let's have some fun here.
