Chelsea FC Copy Reading FC Sponsor Carabao

We all thought they were a knock-off of popular energy drink Red Bull. Apparently Carabao mean business.

Chelsea FC

Reading FC's ties with Chelsea FC are going even deeper. Thai drinks company Carabao have today announced they are partnering up with Jose Mourinho's Blues.

In an online statement, Chelsea said:

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce Carabao as a new principal partner and our new official training wear partner from summer 2016.

This innovative relationship will allow Carabao, a leading energy drink company in Thailand, to expand its global presence and market share thanks to the huge exposure afforded by appearing on Chelsea’s training kit over the next three seasons.

The Carabao logo will feature on Chelsea players’ and staff adidas training kit from the 2016/17 season at our Cobham headquarters, at press conferences, on tours, as we travel and in the warm-up to friendly and competitive fixtures.

First we draw one of Mourinho's favourites, Steve Clarke, to be head coach of The Royals. Then we take a bunch of youth players on loan from them. Then they sign one of our best prospects (Hector, I should clarify given his recent form). Now, they copy our shirt sponsor. The same shirt sponsor nobody had heard of this time last year.

The flamin' cheek.
