Reading Player Of The Month - November 2015

A tumultuous November both on and off the pitch - time to pick who you think stood out above the rest as we head towards winter.

In alphabetical order...

Ali Al-Habsi

Average rating: 6.0 (4 matches); Man Of The Match awards: 1st (Bolton Wanderers H)

In perhaps the only standout performance this month from any player, Al-Habsi showed every ounce of his experience in a solid display against Bolton, eventually only beaten from the penalty spot. Unfortunately in our last match at Nottingham Forest, he showed those doubters that he does still have a mistake in him. The exceptional and the ridiculous in the space of a month.

Nick Blackman

Average rating: 6.0 (4 matches); Man Of The Match awards: 2nd (Cardiff A), 3rd= (Bolton Wanderers H)

Not quite a month to remember for Blackman - certainly not as impressive as the past three anyway - but he's still been one of the most consistent performers in a largely under-par Reading side, and still retains the threat that he could score at any moment.

Oliver Norwood

Average rating: 6.0 (4 matches); Man Of The Match awards: 1st (Cardiff A), 3rd (Nottingham Forest A), 3rd (Huddersfield Town H)

An ever-present in the midfield in November, Norwood scored the first equaliser at home to Huddersfield with a neat free-kick. Whether teams are becoming more aware of his presence or his passing, not quite the effective force we've seen in recent times but still one of the first players on the team sheet for most Reading fans.

They're your three nominees - we'll reveal the results later this week!
