Pearson Early Bookies Favourite To Replace Clarke

As Clarke clears his desk the bookmakers have already released their odds for the man to succeed Steve Clarke.

He's only been gone an hour or so and already the bookies have thrown up their early odds as to who might replace him at the Madejski Stadium.

The strong current favourite is former Leicester boss Nigel Pearson who Bet Victor make a 5/2 shot to take over. Then it's quite a way back to Tim Sherwood at 10/1 before former Reading manager Brian McDermott appears alongside David Moyes, and Uwe Rosler at 12/1. Kevin Keen is also listed at 12/1 but given he's just been sacked alongside Clarke, I wouldn't waste your money there!

Other more random and worrying names also include Neil Warnock and Avram Grant at 14/1, Dennis Wise at 25/1 and Paolo Di Canio also at 25/1. Current caretaker boss Martin Kuhl is also rated a 25/1 chance to make the job his on a permanent basis.

So who do you want to take over folks? Does Nigel Pearson do it for you or is there someone not listed that you fancy? The odds are changing by the minute so you can check out the latest odds via Oddschecker.
