Steve Clarke is already thought to be targeting Danish goalscorer Lasse Vibe, but rumours are also linking us with the unlikely transfer of Angers SCO's French forward Jonathan Kodjia.
According to the BBC, the Royals join a list of much higher profile clubs (including Ajax, Marseille and Olympiakos) to sign the prolific Stade de Reims youth product.
Jonathan Kodjia has scored 14 goals in 22 games (all competitions) for the Ligue 2 side, who currently lie 6th in the French second division table.
However, French Football Weekly think a move this transfer window is extremely unlikely for the 25-year-old Ligue 2 top scorer, who is also interesting Tony Pulis at West Bromwich Albion.
It's worth noting that even if he were to depart his current club today, it's highly unlikely he'd choose Reading over the more illustrious clubs named above.
The hunt for a striker continues...
