A last-gasp Jack Stacey winner was enough to put the Royals' Under-21s side through to the semi-final of the U21 Premier League Cup, at the expense of Huddersfield.

Hope Akpan also made his return from an injury sustained whilst on international duty with Nigeria in November, returning from his two-and-a-half month lay-off by completing the full 120 minutes.

January signing Jure Travner also started.

The Royals will hope to win the competition again after winning the inaugural cup when beating Manchester City U21s 4-3 on aggregate over two legs.
