Clarke told www.readingfc.co.uk,
"I think slowly we’ve been improving over a number of games, and this result shows how far we’ve come.
"Now we have to make sure we don’t get carried away, and we build on it.
"I felt this afternoon was going to be pivotal in our season, I wanted the players to show their improvement, which is exactly what they’ve done."
With Pavel Pogrebnyak scoring after 19 seconds, Benik Afobe keeping up the tradition of ex-Reading players scoring against us equalised in the first half, and Danny Williams struck late on to win the Royals all three points at Molineux.
Since Pogrebnyak has come back from injury, he’s been superb and Clarke felt that his top two have been brilliant in recent weeks. Clarke said:
"Today I thought Pavel and Simon were excellent and linked the team well. They give us a goal threat as well. It was a great ball from Coxy for Pav’s goal, and a clever centre forward’s run. The big man is on fire."
Fans have noticed the improvement since Clarke has taken charge with us losing just two of the 10 games that Clarke has been in charge of and the manager really wanted to show this to everybody, he told www.getreading.co.uk...
"We have improved. I've seen it in matches when sometimes others haven’t because I’m around the players all the time. I can feel a good confidence in the group."
Now onto Tuesday when we face
"It’ll be a tough game but we will keep working. Our fans can see our players giving everything for the cause."
