Arsene Wenger knows it’s not going to be as simple as what people may think. Speaking ahead of the game to the press, Wenger said "Reading have many players who have experience in the Premier League,"
"They have good offensive potential, with Pavel Pogrebnyak, Jamie Mackie, Hal Robson-Kanu and Garath McCleary. They are all dangerous players. They are very efficient in style on crosses. I believe for us they can be a danger going forward.
"We won't be underestimating them. We know it can be very difficult, secondly it would be absolutely non-intelligent just to think we turn up and win the game. We prepare well for this game, we know exactly what can happen to us, what will face us. It’s a special occasion for us to share with our fans and we want them to go home happy. "
Wenger also commented on Steve Clarke saying, "He has good experience and has been a long time at the top. He knows exactly what will happen. I’m sure he will prepare his team very well.
Last season during the FA Cup Semi Final, Arsenal faced Wigan. With 10 minutes remaining and 1-0 down, Per Mertesacker equalised to take the game to extra-time. Eventually the Gunners went through on Penalties, and Wenger insists that this will be on the players mind come Saturday afternoon, "We have learnt from Wigan last year,
"I think our urgency level will be quite high. It’s an aspect I think has improved in our team.
"Last season we were a bit apprehensive in both games, the semi-final and the final (against Hull). Maybe that experience can help us on Saturday."
