As ever with the Championship, it is impossible to determine the tough runs and easy months at this point in time - let alone how Reading will react to them - but the opening month's fixtures don't look too daunting. After going to the Midlands to begin it all, Leeds travel to Berkshire and a home game against MK Dons drops in between trips to Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford. Reading Festival necessitates that the Bees game will be away, so expect a travelling section devoid of pre-teens who love Mumford & Sons.
The Christmas period will be easy on the eyes for Royals fans, a short-ish trip to Wolves is followed by home games against Brentford and Bristol City before the FA Cup third round. However, the midweek away trips are not so pleasant, as the Chronicle's Paul Carey highlights.
The five away trips on a Tuesday night for #readingfc are Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham, Hull, Derby and Huddersfield. Harsh.

The end of season run in sees Hull City come to town before the customary Sky Sports fixture away to QPR as the penultimate away game. Preston North End come to town for the final home game on April 30 before the adulation/commiseration is confirmed at Ewood Park on the first weekend in May.
