First the player's club, Pacos De Ferreira, confirmed the deal. Then we had GetReading scribe and TTE podcast extra co-host Charles Watts confirm the deal... Then we had the player himself confirm the deal.
Now, Reading have officially confirmed the deal - we've signed Paolo Hurtado!

As previously mentioned, it's a three-year deal for El Caballito (The Horse, to me and you), subject to ratification and international clearance. Steve Clarke has had his say on the deal, with word of a fee currently mute, telling the official club website:
"Paolo Hurtado is a player that we have been following since January.
He is a creative player who can play off either side of the pitch. As well as creating chances for others, Paolo also has an eye for a goal.
His style of play should complement the players already here and we look forward to Paolo joining our squad."
He seems to fit the bill then, and we should see him in a Reading shirt sooner rather than later, if not against Leeds United on Sunday. Up until then we can only speculate how he'll fit into the squad, TTE assistant editor Bucks Royal reckons this move has chief scout Tony Spearing's mits all over it - you can read up on Mr. Spearing here. For more info on Hurtado himself, here's our earlier piece profiling all we know about the 25-year-old.
In the mean time, comment below with how you rate this as a signing.
