Match Recap Reporter
While we pride ourselves in getting well rounded and excellent match reports up, the fact is it can take a lot of time to put them together, especially for away games. That's where our 'Instant reaction' articles come into play as they go up as close to the full-time whistle as possible to give everyone the basic idea of what's happened during the game.
This season we're looking to give the responsibility for the instant reaction articles to one or two people who are near their computer regularly on Saturday's at around 5pm. This might be ideal for you if you follow the club from abroad or you're in a situation where you rarely get the chance to go to games.
View From The Tilehurst End
This season we'll also be introducing a new weekly editorial column where guest writers are welcomed in to share their thoughts on a particular topic of their own choosing. It might be looking back at a key date 10 years ago, might be reflecting on the prospects of a young player or maybe you've got an opinion on what Steve Clarke needs to do next. As long as you're happy to write 500+ words and it's at least loosely related to Reading FC we want to hear from you!
You don't need to be a professional writer, just passionate and able to commit to getting the piece in on time.
International Watch
This summer's exploits for Jamaican pair Michael Hector and Garath McCleary show just how exciting international games can be for Reading fans and we're looking for someone with a keen eye on the international scene to cover those goings on. The role would require a roundup at the end of each international break while also the odd news piece here and there if there's been a new or unexpected call-up or perhaps an interview abroad relating to the national side.
