The numbers are much changed from last season, with centre-back Hector, Simon Cox and Anton Ferdinand all moving to new notches on the squad list. Cox's 31 is a nod to numbers previous at Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion - as opposed to his importance to Steve Clarke. The same goes for new goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi, who has deliberately chosen the 26 shirt.
Here they are in full:
Jonathan Bond
Chris Gunter
Andrew Taylor
Paul McShane
Oliver Norwood
Pavel Pogrebnyak
Michael Hector
Hal Robson-Kanu
Orlando Sa
Jordan Obita
Garath McCleary
Reading Fans
Anton Ferdinand
Hope Akpan
Aaron Tshibola
Stephen Quinn
Nick Blackman
Danny Williams
Pierce Sweeney
Jake Taylor
Ali Al-Habsi
Aaron Kuhl
Dominic Samuel
Simon Cox
Sean Long
Shane Griffin
Niall Keown
Jake Cooper
Andrija Novakovich
Jack Stacey
Tariqe Fosu
Stuart Moore
Dominic Hyam
Here we see how new signings take up positions in the list; Orlando Sa is 10, Stephen Quinn takes the 14 shirt, Paul McShane is 5 and latest arrival Andrew Taylor takes 3. Reading Fans everywhere remain number 13. However, whoever assigned the numbers clearly didn't read Tom's predictions!
Interestingly, numbers 4, 14 and 17 have been left free, so plenty of room for new signings. The numbers are actually the same as we found during the Espanyol friendly last weekend.
Would be a surprise if the numbers change too much before #BCFC. @Big_Hec35 follows #ReadingFC legend @willow1871 as a centre back wearing 8
