He also calls on the Reading supporters to get out and support their side in mass, as "in England, football is all about supporters" and more fans behind the players means the players enjoy it more. Norwood tells Get Reading how he took what Clarke said on board and didn't have a break over the summer, instead using the time to get really fit and achieve his goal of starting the first game of the season "to put a marker down and show he means business". He explains that the new deep lying role he is playing is something different, but he doesn't mind as long as he is playing.
