Originally due to take place on Saturday 12th March, Reading will now travel south on Friday 11th March for a 19:45 kick-off. It is the first game selected for the television since the boxing day defeat at Wolves, which ended a run of three games in quick succession on Sky.
The switch is similar to September's game with Ipswich being changed to a Friday night, with any complaints drowned out by a 5-1 victory for Reading. However, this move will come after Brian McDermott's team travel to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday 8th March, while the Seagulls prepare with a home clash with Sheffield Wednesday on the same evening.
After launching themselves to the top of the table with an early unbeaten run, including a 1-1 draw at the Madejski Stadium, Brighton are winless since December 5th with four losses in their last five.
