According to multiple sources, Reading are finally set to get their man: Yann Kermorgant is closing in on a permanent transfer from Bournemouth. The South London Press claim that the move will go through for a fee of about £500,000, with the Royals having beaten off competition from Charlton Athletic - Kermorgant's former employers.
Get Reading's Charles Watts is similarly sure of the deal being completed, saying that the Frenchman will undergo a medical today.
Believe Yann Kermorgant is set for a #readingfc medical today. Wheels now in motion for this one to be wrapped up.

Of course, this is all set against mounting speculation that Reading are set to lose another striker - Orlando Sa - the Portuguese forward being strongly linked with a move to either AEK Athens or Atalanta. So, one out, one in?
Indeed, in terms of playing style, Kermorgant offers a similar package to Sa, both being frontmen capable of leading the line on their own. However, the Bournemouth striker probably has the edge in terms of physical strength, and certainly in terms of experience. Now at the age of 34, Kermorgant has played for the likes of Leicester City, Charlton Athletic and of course Bournemouth - helping the Cherries to promotion last season.
