Kermorgant boasts a fine goalscoring record in the Championship, hitting the back of the net 17 times in each of his last two seasons. The first of those was split between playing for Charlton and Bournemouth, with the second seeing a successful promotion campaign.
Brian McDermott expressed his delight at the signing by saying...
"I'm delighted to get Yann, a player we have known about for a long time. In Yann we have an experienced striker with an excellent record and a player who will be able to work with our young players at the club and be a good centre-forward in the team we are trying to develop here at Reading. I am really looking forward to working with him."
Your reaction on Twitter has been pretty positive...
Delighted with Yann Kermorgant. Such a cult-hero at his previous I clubs and of course most importantly: he scores goals. #readingfc
