Forgotten wing man Paolo Hurtado seems to be on his way out of Reading FC after the most forgettable six month stint you could imagine.
According to Peru.com, the Peru International is heading back to Portugal, with Vitoria Guimaraes the club mooted to be bringing him back to the Portuguese First Division. All he needs to do is pass his medical and the move will be confirmed.
If this is the case, you can hardly blame him or the club for cutting their losses and moving on. Hurtado came with a fair amount of fanfare with his arrival at the club, hailed a "creative player who can play off either side of the pitch. As well as creating chances for others, Paolo also has an eye for a goal." Unfortunately, Reading fans didn't get much of a chance to see Hurtado in action, with him having played a grand total of 150 minutes for The Royals since joining in August.
Brian McDermott has mentioned recently that he's had one-to-one conversations with the winger, but it looks to have been to no avail with the winger on his way out of the club this winter.
This transfer deal will surely leave the majority of fans saying, "Paolo Who?" in the years to come, but thanks anyway, Paolo.
