Having bagged a goal for Reading, Dom Samuel is now being touted for a transfer to Hull City or Sunderland. Yes, you read that right. Having barely made enough Championship appearances to count on two hands, the forward is considered by some as the man who could be called upon to fire a top-flight club to safety.

The news comes via Daily Mirror, who believe that the Tigers and Black Cats are taking an interest in Samuel, having recently bagged against the mighty Burton Albion.

Of course, don't take our dismissive tone as a sign that the Englishman isn't doing well. He's doing fine. Not Premier League fine, but fine nonetheless. Perhaps his all round game needs some work but for the moment the best place for him is in amongst the Reading squad, fighting for starts and making the most of what opportunities are bestowed upon him.

Would you sell Samuel to Sunderland? Is he ready for the step up? Comment below.
