Reading FC To Face West Brom In FA Cup Fifth Round

Our opponents for the next round of the FA Cup were confirmed last night and could it be a good omen for our quarter-final hopes?

Reading will take on West Brom in the fifth round of this season's FA Cup after the Baggies dispatched League One Peterborough on penalties last night. Tony Pulis' side were made to work hard for the win, after a draw at the Hawthorns was followed up by a draw last night after extra time at London Road.

What that means is that Reading will host the fifth round tie on Saturday February 20th at 3pm with the game one of the few not picked for live television coverage.

We've got good memories of cup ties against West Brom, with Jimmy Kebe smashing home our fastest ever goal in a fifth round tie at the Mad Stad in 2010 before Gylfi Sigurdsson and Brian Howard helped us earn a late win in the replay.

Fingers crossed we'll be able to knock out the Premier League side again and with the Baggies struggling to get past both Bristol City and Peterborough we'll be in with a good shout.
