Remember how boring transfer deadline day was for Reading fans? Well, apparently it nearly wasn't that dull. According to The Bolton News, the Royals went in with a late bid for Rob Holding (the chap on the left in the picture), but it was turned down (insert obligatory joke about the Trotters Holding on to their players).
Holding is a 20 year old defender who's been capped by the Greater Manchester side just 11 times so far, appearing as a centre back and a right back. Luckily for Reading, his current contract runs out in the summer, so we could still get our man - just in a couple of months.
Speaking about the development, Neil Lennon had this to say...
"We did lose Prince, Pisano and Casado but thankfully we kept hold of our main players. We had a bid come in for Rob Holding, which was turned down, so that gives us something to hold on to and build on."
Putting this against the #BushWatch tweets from @JacobSouthKlein on deadline day, the roving reporter may have almost had something to tell us about on Periscope after all...
Getting the gut feeling that something *might* be happening - Brian and Hammond still here amongst others. Can't say though.

SERIOUS UPDATE: Hammond's just come up to me and said, quote, "Get yourself home mate, nothing's happening".

Stay tuned to The Tilehurst End for any more transfer news if it comes through.
