Transfer Deadline Day has come and passed.  The day football fans always look forward to, but could the week's Championship games match it's excitement.

Game of the Week

This week's game of the week was at the Amex Stadium where Brighton climbed up to third place with a comfortable 3-0 win over Brentford. All of Brighton's previous 13 wins had been by a one-goal margin and this result made it their first home clean sheet for three months.

It took 27 minutes for Brighton  to break the deadlock. Anthony Knockeart fired in a low show from just inside the area following some good play down the left hand side between the scorer and Jamie Murphy.

Tomer Hemed doubled Brighton's lead two minutes from half time. The Israel striker beat Brentford keeper David Button with a downward header following Beram Kayal's cross.

Murphy made it 3-0 with a left footed finish into the corner following a pass by substitute Andrew Crofts. The late goal made it Brighton's most convincing win for 11 months.

Player of the Week

Jamie Murphy is this week's player of the week. The tenacious winger scored one and assisted another in Brighton's 3-0 win over Brentford.

WhoScored rating: 9.0

Goal of the Week

This week's goal of the week goes to Gary Hooper for this screamer.
