Transfer Deadline Day has come and passed. The day football fans always look forward to, but could the week's Championship games match it's excitement.
Game of the Week
This week's game of the week was at the Amex Stadium where Brighton climbed up to third place with a comfortable 3-0 win over Brentford. All of Brighton's previous 13 wins had been by a one-goal margin and this result made it their first home clean sheet for three months.
It took 27 minutes for Brighton to break the deadlock. Anthony Knockeart fired in a low show from just inside the area following some good play down the left hand side between the scorer and Jamie Murphy.
Tomer Hemed doubled Brighton's lead two minutes from half time. The Israel striker beat Brentford keeper David Button with a downward header following Beram Kayal's cross.
Murphy made it 3-0 with a left footed finish into the corner following a pass by substitute Andrew Crofts. The late goal made it Brighton's most convincing win for 11 months.

Jamie Murphy is this week's player of the week. The tenacious winger scored one and assisted another in Brighton's 3-0 win over Brentford.

Bristol City have appointed former midfielder Lee Johnson as their new manager following Steve Cotterill's department earlier in the week. Lee Johnson made over 200 appearances for Bristol City and the Robins owners hope that his previous experience at the club with help him settle quickly and endear himself to the fans straight away.
Middlesbrough finally got their man on Deadline Day with the signing of Blackburn's prolific striker Jordan Rhodes. They also completed the loan signing's of Gaston Ramirez and Ritchie De Laet from Southampton and Norwich respectively.
