Reading FC v Crystal Palace: Squad Selector Results

While Brian McDermott stresses over the details and injury news, we give the gaffer a helping hand with the results of your squad for the FA Cup quarter-final.

No surprises in goal as Ali Al-Habsi secures the custodianship with over 97% of the vote, Jonathan Bond taking his spot on the bench that he was originally hard done by to fall to.

In defence, Andrew Taylor gets the full wrath of the Royals faithful for Tuesday night's error by being shunned for Jordan Obita by a landslide 99 votes. The former England youth international will be joined by Chris Gunter on the opposite flank, as expected, while Michael Hector and Paul McShane earn the centre-back starting spots.

While many would expect Hector to start in defensive midfield, we have him in defence as all Oli Norwood, Danny Williams, and Stephen Quinn have edged Anton Ferdinand's 62 votes to start on the night. Interestingly, only 47% of you opted for Jake Cooper.

Up front the scenario is simplified, bar the injury worries, as each of Matej Vydra, Ola John, and Hal Robson-Kanu sealed their spots with over 75% of your votes.

Here's the team in full:

Subs: Bond, Taylor, Ferdinand, Cooper, Piazon, McCleary, Rakels.
