While Tim Dellor's interview with Brian McDermott gained plenty of attention yesterday, some felt it was his comments during the game itself towards Matej Vydra that were even more questionable.
Tim's been off on Vydra rants before, notably around Boxing Day where he described the forward as one of the worst players to play for Reading but after easing up on the Czech striker following his FA Cup heroics, things have once again been ramped up in recent weeks. Dellor was understandably frustrated with Vydra after his penalty miss at Bolton but things went to a whole new level after his late miss at Middlesbrough when he said that if 'Vydra was a dog he'd be put down'.
Realising that perhaps he's gone a little too far, Tim took to social media late on Wednesday night to offer an apology.
24 hrs on - wish hadn't made poorly judged comment about Vydra. Meant to be funny metaphor. Listened back. It wasn't. Sorry everyone.

Whatever you made of Tim's comments at the time, fair play to him for coming out and apologising. He's not always everyone's cup of tea style wise but in 10+ years covering the club, he gets it right far more often than he gets it wrong.
Here's hoping we can all move on and Vydra proves Tim and others wrong with some form over the next few games.
